Some work...
Hey Photo-geeks,
Greetings from the Yukon. I figured it was time to post, four months since my last one...
Tim Zeigdel stands in front of his home in Gruberville, outside Whitehorse, on July 17, 2006.
A corner of the cabin, which extends onto new residential lots, will be chopped off to meet the new property line.
Riders brave bad weather on the Haines Road Summit during the Kluane to Chilkat International Bike Relay, June 17, 2006. The eight-stage relay runs 238 kilometres from Haines Junction, Yukon to Haines, Alaska, and attracts over 1200 cyclists every year.
Mike McCann rides along the Alaska Highway during the Tour de Whitehorse's second stage, the Time Trial, on July 29, 2006.
I had some good luck with this photo, which was shot over a year ago. It won a British Columbia and Yukon Community Newspaper Award (best feature photo, circulation under 10,000). It sounds better than it really is tho, I was up against my boss, the photo editor and our freelancer in the category.
Still, I got a free dinner, and a heavy-ass trophy to bean people with.
2004 grad Karen Longwell won a BCYCNA award this year as well. Go Loyalist!
Oh yeah, we had frost yesterday morning in Whitehorse, I thought you sweaty T.O. dudes might like that. XD
(this is actually from January, but we really did have frost!)

Solid stuff Ian! Especially the three cyclists. True north representin'. I enjoyed a balmy 7 degrees today.
Yeah, i haven't had the short pants out at all this summer.
I did go swimming once tho.
Have you dipped your toes into Frobisher Bay yet Mark?
