Wow. shitty deal for that guy. Question - Did that picture of the guys scalp run? I think it could bother some people while eating their fruit loops.....

yes, the picture ran, inside. We only have 4 colour pages in our paper (or maybe 8, I dunno) and it ran on a black and white page.
there was another picture of him on front in colour, but he still had his head bandage on.
we ran it by the publisher and he was fine with having it in there.
