Yeah, I remember seeing that photo a few years back.
I blame the trophy designers. One of them had to have looked at the thing and realize "Hey guys! Did you know that our trophy looks like a giant phallus?"
This picture was bound to happen from the minute that glass paperweight was blown. (Ooops, no pun intended there.)
