Been shooting the Edmonton Rush Lacrosse team this year.....a few images from last nights game using my new 400 2.8. Talk about a new challenge, there is NO depth of field with that thing......mmmmmmmmm.......no depth of field.
Blair Gable is looking to get rid of a 400 2.8 Nikon. Don't know any details but if someone is looking for one let me know and I will pass his contact info over. he was trying to sell it to me the other day. I don't have the CASH!!
I actually shot some things with that lens the other day. It was my firs time using it. It's a monster. Im used to weilding the 300 without a tripod for hockey and basketball but when i tried to hand hold the 400 it was insane! soo big but man, if you hit the focus its tack fricken sharp! Im actually looking forward to using it more.

Which bank did you knock over to get a 400 2.8?
Haha.....
You gotta spend money to make money sometimes.
400 2.8,
whoa . . . that's some crazy coin!

Its pretty specialized, it does a lot of things a 300mm cannot do, and is limited because it is too tight sometimes.
I'm no expert with it yet, it has a little bit of a learning curve but I sure cannot hand hold it.
But, no other lens can compete with it when it comes to football and other field sports.
