Sabres on fire or about to be burnt?
So I show up at work yesterday and our editor-in-chief wants me to take a picture of a witch/wizard/voodoo shaman putting a curse on Buffalo Sabres Ryan Miller.
Problem 1) Miller is a rookie and has nothing with his face/head on it besides a hockey card. We are also in Ottawa, not Buffalo.
Problem 2) Where do you find a witch/wizard/voodoo shaman on a Tuesday morning? You don't you rent a costume to make one. No models available and not enough time to pull it off with one shifts notice.
Problem 3) There are no Buffalo's to be found in Ottawa, plush, stuffed, live or otherwise.
Here is the compromise that didn't even get used and took two hours to shoot, not including the rest of my shift that comprised of "running-around-like-a-freaking-crazy-person-trying-to-find-Buffalo-stuff-in-Ottawa" time.
Black tuct-tape on top with contact cement. You only have a few frames before the CC starts to bubble.
