PIKE - recent work

Some of the daily grind from the last while.


Kelwood, Man.'s Elgin Beyette has one of his horses fall, during the
chuck wagon races at the 125th annual Killarney Agricultural Fair and
Exhibition in Killarney, Man. on Saturday June 23, 2007. The horse, a
14 tear old gelding named Alley Cat, recovered, finished the race, and
was uninjured. "It's the closest I've ever come to having a horse go
down," Beyette said after the race. "He was laying flat out on it and
his legs were all out and it pulled the lines out of my hand", said
Beyette, still stunned by the near accident.



Ballerina Megan Jersak, 10, of Brandon was the winner of the Kids Quest talent competition, which was held at the Red River Exhibition in Winnipeg yesterday, seen in Eleanor Kidd Park in Brandon on Sunday June 24, 2007.
